What is cradling? my masonite panel painting is 16"x48", and will need support. any suggestions appreciated.

Brian, thanks for your info about how to prepare masonite for painting. Now I want to frame a piece, but it is long,(16x48) and will need support. You mentioned 'cradling'. I cannot find out what that is. What do you suggest? Thanks!

Hi Brian...I found your article about preparing hrdwood for acrylic painting very helpful (on about.com) and wondered what thickness of hardwood you used when buying a 4 x 8' shhet wood? Iona

I found Multiply's site to be too complicated . I wanted to build custom pages but it was not easy to do. I believe google sites will work much better for me as a place to display my paintings. Check it out.
